Every check has a weight (Severe 10, Medium 5, Low 2). Passed counts in full, a hint counts half, a failure counts nothing and n/a is left out. The grade is the share of earned weight: A from 90 %, B from 75 %, C from 60 %, D from 40 %, F below. A severe failure in HTTPS or indexability caps the grade at D.
